Located in beautiful Hernando, FL and across the street from the shores of tranquil Lake Hernando, A Step Ahead Performing Arts Academy (ASA) is the newest and fastest growing dance studio in Citrus County, Florida.  However, ASA is NOT a newcomer to the performing arts world.  We have trained dancers, musicians, and actors for many years and sent countless students into professional careers in the performing arts.  Now finding our new home in Citrus County, ASA is ready to provide the "next level" of professional dance instruction for the artists of Citrus County.  With a deep appreciation for the foundations of dance and theater, ASA is the best choice for anyone (ages 2 - Adult)  who wants to perfect their craft, advance their talents, or happens to be considering a career in the performing arts.
